helens birthday continued

i soo enjoyed being round helens this weekend for the celebrations. its like they always make me feel so welcome and part of the family. its great its like i got a place for my head. i love going round so much i get on so well with her family (i think i do anyway) they are all cool people.

the crazy cool weekend of helen

wow what a weekend!!!!! it started friday night i was giging at the blueberry which was cool. poor helen and her friends had a 6hour car journey down from york due to an accident on the A17. man what a bummber. met helen and her friends in town yesterday morning and we went shopping. we then went home to sort out stuff for he reletives staying over. it was her dads 3 sisters and husbands. i met and got on really well with all of them but especially uncle tony. uncle tony is a wild eyed geordie man with a quick wit and tounge. we had a proper laugh!!!!

helen had her 21st birthday party saturday night at the king of hearts which was great. she was so happy. which made me happy. to see her with all of her friends and family it was great she was in her element and loving it. we all had fun. and i was glad my mate kev and his girlfriend turned up too. was great to just chat to them carlessly about anything. it was also good to see people that i havent seen in ages. later me and gallop got a pizza and walked home.

then today came around. the big day. helens baptism. helen was such a big mix of emotions excited nervous. eccstaticly happy, scared, joyfull apprihensive. her testimony was awesome. so good. she spoke with confidence and setteld into en ease after a few mouthfulls of speach. the other 2 guys testimonys were great too. was fantastic to see her being baptised. heres a picture of her running out of the water with great speed and joy!!!!!






















then we went back to her rents for lunch. lasagnie and salad. yum yum was an awesome lunch as usual provided by her mum and aunt. then we had her grand pressie opening and her dads too as it was his 51st.

then we all had cake again yum yum!!!!! and had a sorrowfully tearful goodbye as helen went back to york

so was an awesome weekend. indeed this was helens weekend. and so rightly deserved too!!!! she is so great and wonderfull im so pleased for her. time for a collapse on me bed moement now!!!!!!!

god stuff

ok sometimes lets face it alot of the time im not really doing that well at the god stuff (but hey who isnt??!!?!?) not that thats an excuse. why do we have such a hard time understanding that god loves us??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!? maby its coz we make ourselves unlovable? or maby we just think its too big a love for us. or just simply god cant love me??

i reckon if we even grasped the fact that god actually does love us. alot of the things in our lives would change and things that were problems wouldent be such a problem. i sometimes get worried and think about all the stupid sins ive done (i cant actually remeber them all suprisingly enough) and think man im boned. gods gona send me too hell. but thats just my stupid brain teling me the crap. have you ever wondered what god might say to you about your life? have you ever thought he might say. im suprised you didnt mess up more than i thought you would.

when wil we(i) get over the fact that god is not out to trip us up to catch us out to say "tut tuu not been reading the bible alot this week have you!!!!" i dont think god cares about the legalistic stuff. he wants our hearts. and if we give him our hearts all the other stuff will follow.

lord god help me to give you more of my heart. in fact my whole heart. coz in reality i dont and im sorry. please help me to do this. amen.

well im back from the yfc staff conferance. in general it was ok. the place we stayed at was great tho. boddelwynn castel in north wales. i think from looking aroun that it used to be a military training grounds. the food was excellent. you could have fry up breakfastsevery day if you wanted to. 3course meals for both lunch and tea. they had a gym too which i went in everyday to burn off excess foodage. and a sauna and plunge pool which i went in everyday too!!.

there was a meeting in the morning for an hour and 1 in the evening for and hour or so. i didnt really like the evening ones but the guy doing the morning ones was quite good. after the morning meetings there was half an hour group work which you were assinged a group but you didnt know anyone in the group. i went to one of those but i didnt really get on with it so i didnt bother with the rest of them. i noticed also that there was alot of pride at the conferance. people from other yfc centers who were trying to show off how good they were or how much they have done. i didnt like this so much. and in general i think there was an attitude of "were yfc arnt we great!!!"

i liked the prayer room tho was like the one we had in norwich earlyer on. that was cool. i enjoyed walking around the feilds takeing pictures of the land and the castel. and swimming in the pool. and chilling out. yay back to work tommorow!!!!!!! doh!

but im here now!!

this morning i am traveling off to nyfc staff conferance in rhyl north wales should be good im looking forward to it i hope its gona be chilled!!!!
